Object Description

19th century mahogany Gainsborough style antique library armchair. This chair follows the form of the Gainsborough chair with padded back and swept arms. This one has an added detail with lattice work carving that is square in section on the front edges of the legs. The back of the legs is chamfered so sharply that it gives the appearance that the legs are much thinner than they really are. A very elegant leg of the sort found in the Chippendale directoire. Send us your fabric to change the look.
