Object Description
Fine Berlin iron necklace, circa 1820 – 1830, comprised of a central acanthus panel with polished steel backplate, and alternating volutes, foliate and floral panels. The necklace is 17 and 3/4 inches long. The central panel measures 1 and 3/4 by 1.5 inches, the volutes measure 1 and 1/3 inches by one inch, the floral elements measure 1 and 1/4 by 1 and 1/4 inches and the foliate panels measure 1 and 1/8 inches by one inch. In immaculate and rust-free condition.
