Object of the Week – Alfred Stevens Festoon Mantlepiece

Designed by Alfred Stevens and manufactured by Coalbrookdale in 1875, this is a design classic with several museum collections boasting similiar. This piece is in exquisite original condition, having been recently removed from a London home. Unpainted cast iron surround, stamped on the reverse also. 

An overpainted example is also currently available.
