Flight and Barr Worcester Mug ‘Conjugal Peace’

A fine and rare Flight and Barr Worcester porcelain mug, superbly painted by John Pennington with a sepia monochrome painting of a young girl, with a basket containing two doves, within a gilt border surrounded by gilt spray and leaf ornamentation. Having a moulded scroll handle, with acanthus leaf moulding, heightened with gilt.

Script Flight and Barr, Worcester factory mark, and title ‘CONJUGAL PEACE’ to the base, in puce.
