A stunning vintage French 1.05 carat emerald and 0.35 carat sapphire, enamel and 18 carat yellow gold cockatoo brooch by Boucheron; part of our diverse vintage jewellery and estate jewelry collections.
This stunning, fine and impressive vintage brooch has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold.
The brooch has been modelled in the form of a cockatoo parrot.
The crest and tail feathers are embellished with a total of forty eight pavé set cabochon cut emeralds, totalling 1.05cts.
The eye is set with a pear cut yellow sapphire, and the branch with three calibre cut yellow sapphires.
The wings are ornamented with polychrome enamel in shades of orange and yellow.
The Boucheron brooch secures to the reverse with hinged two pronged fastening which is struck with the French mark for 18ct gold (eagle’s head).
The reverse of the setting is signed with the serial number P20935, maker’s mark ‘BOUCHERON’, the French spelling of gold (or) and the 18ct gold fineness mark (750).
The brooch is supplied with a satin lined, leatherette Boucheron presentation case.
This vintage Boucheron bird brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.
