A late 18th century Georgian mahogany bureau.
The bureau has four beech wood lined drawers with original brass swan neck handles and cock beaded edges.
The bureau has a fall front flap with a brown leather covered writing surface that has a gilt tooled decoration.
The interior has six drawers with gilt brass battle-axe handles and a central door that is decoratively satinwood inlaid.
The bureau stands on shaped bracket feet that have incised carved detail to the fronts.
The bureau is in very good condition and is made from excellent quality timber, the leather writing surface is a replacement. (Circa 1790)
