18th century Welsh oak cabriole leg nursing chair.

Object Description

An unusual Denbighshire oak nursing or lambing chair .The shaped top rail above a fielded panel back, wooden seat above a base with side drawer,shaped frieze ,terminating with cabriole front legs and square back ones.Welsh Circa 1730.Seat height 14 ins.

Object History

From Tremeirchion in Denbighshire ,originally on the owners family farm,has not been on the market for at least 110 years.

Object Condition

Fine colour and patina and in original condition throughout.
