This stunning example of antique emerald and diamond brooch has been crafted in platinum.
The pierced decorated frame features an impressive 1.98ct step cut natural emerald flanked on either side by a baguette cut diamond to the centre of the brooch.
The central claw set emerald is encompassed with a segmented, geometric border emanating to the lobed scrolling terminals.
The upper and lower portions of the brooch display rope twist decoration, conjoining with the scrolling terminals, and incorporating a collared design to the centre of the symmetrical design.
The pierced decorated Art Deco setting is embellished with a combination of one hundred and eighty-six claw set, Old European cut and eight-cut diamonds; these diamonds are graduating in size.
The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp.
This antique brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.
This stunning brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum.
“Rather than regarding inclusions in coloured stones as harmful, in small sizes and numbers that do not in any way detract from their beauty, they should be regarded as adding to desirability, for they provide identifying characteristics.”
