Object Description
A good quality late 19th century French Kingwood veneered ormolu mounted bureau de dame, in the style of Louis XVI, having quartered veneers to the fall with inset Sevres style porcelain plaques , depicting classical cherubs in the clouds. The fall front opening to reveal six serpentine fronted drawers each with ormolu handles, a secret well and an inset velvet lined writing surface. Four ormolu mounted drawers beneath and raised on elegant cabriole legs.
