A 19th century yew wood and elm Windsor arm chair.
The chair has a shaped elm wood seat and yew wood turned legs, back splats and spindles.
The chair is stamped E. Gabbitass Worksop, Elizabeth Gabbitass took over her husband’s chair business, that started in 1822, in 1839 after he died.
The chair is in good condition, the back legs have had the tips replaced (probably worn down by use). (Circa 1840)
