This limited edition menorah sculpture was designed by the Israeli sculptor, Yaacov Agam in the late 1980s. Agam is famous for his pioneering work in the field of kinetic art. The intriguing sculpture, reimagining the shape and form of a menorah, is an extraordinary example of Agam’s kinetic art work and includes 70 precisely-shaped movable branches. They can be reformed and moved to create a variety of different designs and meanings. With every new configuration, an individual and original sculpture is created.
The piece comes as originally presented with box and papers: the piece is elegantly packaged in a navy box with metal locks and the artist’s signature printed on it. The box contains the 24-karat gold plated brass menorah sculpture and a luxury round, velvet stand that the sculpture can be displayed on. In addition, it includes a certificate of authenticity from K.D.C. Publishers Ltd. and a booklet with additional information.
The sculpture is a numbered piece of a limited series created by Agam and handcrafted at Ortesha, Yavne, Israel in the late 1980s. It is inscribed on the branches informing of its edition number ‘358/900’ and the artist’s signature ‘Agam’.
