A very fine and impressive antique Austro-Hungarian 3.04 carat diamond, 19 carat yellow gold brooch; part of our diverse antique jewellery and estate jewelry collection
This fine Austro-Hungarian antique brooch has been crafted in 19 ct yellow gold.
The circular pierced decorated frame has a central flower design claw set with a 0.62 ct Old European round cut diamond.
Eight flower buds claw set with Old European round cut diamonds emanate from the central design.
A further seven diamond set flower heads alternate with old Dutch cut diamond set leaf motifs complete the upper design.
The lower portion of the brooch has a pierced decorated scrolling leaf composition, embellished with a claw set Old European cut diamond and several old Dutch cut diamonds.
Suspended from the lower portion of the brooch are four Old European cut diamonds individually displayed to the removable articulated flower drop attachment; this provides the option of wearing the brooch in two different forms.
The brooch is hallmarked to the reverse with the Austro-Hungarian hallmark (dog’s head), Vienna Assay Office mark (A) and fineness mark for 19 ct/800 (4), and secured with a hinged pin and clasp.
This fine antique brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading certificate for the central diamond, in addition to an independent diamond grading report card (shown).
