Object Description

A magnificent, fine and impressive antique Victorian 6.10 ct diamond and 9 carat yellow gold, silver set brooch/pendant; part of our diverse antique jewellery and estate jewelry collections

This magnificent, fine and impressive Victorian brooch has been crafted in 9 ct yellow gold with a silver setting.

The pierced decorated setting displays a stunning feature 1.20ct Old European cut diamond, claw set in relief to the centre of the impressive design.

The stunning feature diamond is encircled by twelve fine and impressive claw set Old European cut diamonds, forming a central cluster design.

This cluster is framed by eight further feature Old European cut diamonds, ranging from 0.47ct to 0.53ct to each point of the arrangement.

A further sixteen Old European cut supporting diamonds emanate from the aforementioned stellate points, eight being individually collet set terminating with a further eight having simplified leaf shaped settings.

The supporting stones are set in an alternating formation to the eight feature stones around the outer border of the brooch.

The brooch secures to the reverse with a detachable 9ct yellow gold hinged pin and clasp and may be converted to be worn as a pendant if so desired; the detachable pin indicates the high quality of the piece.

When worn as a pendant, this impressive piece suspends from an 18″ 18 ct yellow gold trace chain via a linear bale to the upper border, accented with a further three individually claw set Old European round cut diamonds.

This antique Victorian diamond cluster brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 9 carat gold and silver.

This stunning brooch is supplied with nine independent diamond grading report certificates for the feature diamonds, in addition to an independent diamond grading report card for the supporting stones.

To locate such examples with large feature diamonds that are evenly quality matched is becoming increasingly difficult.
