This exceptional drinking set, consisting of six glasses, a decanter, and a tray, all in the same decorative style, was made in Bohemia in the nineteenth century, and showcases beautiful ruby-red and gold overlay decoration. Glass making from Bohemia in the nineteenth century is renowned for its excellent quality and high levels of aesthetic beauty, and this set is no exception. With gilding around the rim, and a series of six ruby red panels around their bodies, the glasses are matched, stylistically, by a tall, elegant decanter, which is crowned with a pointed cover, and is similarly emblazoned with a repeating, geometric fractal pattern, as is the tray which holds all seven items.
