Object Description

each in with a cylindrical column rising from a stylized chrysanthemum base with a similar finial crowned by a gilt bracket and pricket for the candle, with an incised gilt metal collar and decorated with gilt mon on a black ground, with a large wooden case inscribed ‘a pair of candle stands with kiku bases decorated with mon in maki-e for temple use, out of 5 sets.) and with the paper collection label of Mr Taga.
