An exquisitely hand carved Hardstone Cameo, depicting a Classical Bacchanalian Figure (Baccus and his followers “the God of all Good things in life”, Baccus and his followers were usually illustrated with either fruit, flowers or vine leaves in their hair. This beautiful Cameo Brooch has been mounted in a very fine 15 Carat Yellow Gold setting (tested) and is surrounded by an oval outline which has been generously set with numerous well matched Seed Pearls.
The detail of the Hardstone’s, luminescent, fine hand carving is remarkable, particularly the Lady’s Hair; an exceptional addition to anyone’s Cameo collection.
Could easily be adapted to convert to a pendant, should our customer so require.
