Object Description

A very fine pair of Irish satinwood pier tables. The demi-lune satinwood & marquetry inlaid tops, with quarter cut veneers, set with a half oval harewood centre, repeated on the border, inside finely etched with floral marquetry, to a kingwood cross-banded edge, resting on tapered legs with kingwood socks.

John Wisdsom, is recorded as supplying a marquetry inlaid console table and several other pieces to Newbridge House in 1790, now in the National Gallery.
