Exquisite Almandine Diamond Mrs Newman Swag Necklace. A rare and true collectors piece assigned to Mrs Newman 1836-1920. Mrs Newman was a talented and prominent goldsmith and jeweller based in London. This beautiful swag necklace with almandine garnets are fancy edged rub over set in 15ct yellow gold, marked with her signature on the snap plate clasp. The almandine garnets have small rose cut diamonds above and below to highlight their beautiful rich colour. A very good example of her work. The necklace measures 15.5 inches long, the swag has a drop 1.5 inches. A rare swag necklace.
