Object Description
Amethyst and diamond cocktail ring. Set with one central square tallow cut amethyst in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 3.50 carats, flanked by two vertical rows of eight round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.50 carats, to an angular cocktail ring featuring polished edges, a linear pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to smooth trumpeting shoulders and flowing through to a tapering flat shank. Tested 18 carat rose gold and marked platinum, French, circa 1945.
