Object Description
Amethyst cocktail ring. Set centrally with an octagonal emerald-cut natural unenhanced amethyst in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 9.46 carats, to a bombé design featuring corner claws, ribbed details, polished borders and open backholing, the integrated trumpeting shoulders tapering to a solid shank. Tested 15 carat yellow gold, European, circa 1950.
