Smaller plates: 23.5cm in diameter, 2.5cm in depth.
Crafted in a similar style to Meissen ware at first glance, but most likely French in origin, this dinnerware set comprises a selection of porcelain plates, each elegantly and skilfully decorated with a variety of floral motifs in vibrant colours. While some plates feature a group a beautifully painted flowers in a ring, some are decorated with a single larger flower in the centre, with complementary offshoots around the edge of the plate. Regardless, the execution in each case is flawless, and the decoration elevates and gives an undeniable vitality to each object.
The plates are all gold-painted around the rim, and bear a variety of makers’ marks as shown.
