Object Description
A delightful miniature square form tea jar and cover, two sides finely painted to show processions of nobles and their entourages attending religious ceremonies. The remaining two sides depict a painting of a beautiful house and stables amongst the trees.
Signed Kozan.
Just 10cms in height, this is a wonderful example of fine Japanese Meiji-era craftsmanship and artistry.
