Object Description
A Fine heavy gauge George III Antique silver chamberstick of oblong form with unusual floral border made by Rebecca Emes and Edward Barnard of London in 1816. The nozzle and snuffer are hallmarked and original. The chamberstick also has its original close plated steel wick trimmers which slide underneath. Most chambersticks are lacking their wick trimmers as mostly being made in steel and not really being necessary after the middle years of the nineteenth century due to the new style of candles which didn’t need trimming they were either lost or disposed of .
