Object History

Ridgeway porcelain (1808 -1904)
In 1808 brothers John & William Ridgeway joined their father Job’s factory at Caulden Place in Staffordshire the same year production of bone china was added to that of earthenwares. The early Ridgway porcelain was in Spode style with quality and colourful designs in ‘London’ shaped teawares.
