Object Description
An exceptional late 18th century Directoire period commode in well figured plum pudding mahogany, the marble top surrounded by a finely pierced brass gallery above three short and two long drawers heightened with brass mouldings and pewter inlay and flanked by turned, fluted columns, the flutes decorated with further brass inlay, the whole raised on turned tapering feet. Original handles, trefoil locks and key.
