An Impressive Belle Epoque Gilt and Patinated Bronze Twenty-One Light Chandelier. Attributed to Maison Millet, Paris.
This spectacular chandelier is modelled with a sinuous gilt-bronze scrollwork frame. The corona is cast with acanthus leaves and shells issuing four pierced rocaille supports and a central baluster stem connecting intertwined branches with seated putti herm busts holding lights with frosted glass rose flower shades.

This impressive chandelier relates to the production of ‘La maison Théodore Millet’ around 1900. Wrought in finely cast gilt and patinated bronze, the sculptural design is coupled with scrolled branches and is informed by the Louis XV style with an Art Nouveau accent.
