Object Description
A restrung Ancient Roman dark blue glass beaded necklace. The body of the necklace is comprised of small spherical, tubular and ellipsoid beads of varying textures and hues creating a mosaic-like effect. The necklace culminates at a centrepiece which is comprised of six larger beads containing pyriform, diamond, spherical and ellipsoid shapes of varying opacity and tones. The final bead has been chipped slightly. The piece has been finished with a modern gold-plated clasp (please note that the clasp has not been professionally tied).
