Object Description

A translucent pale green bottle of fusiform shape. The bottle features slanted and uneven everted rim folded over, with a tall cylindrical neck joining with a bulge in mid-section of body, then a long concave side extending downward to thick, solid, bottom. This long slender piece was used for cosmetic productes. The item was likely accompanied with a long glass or bronze utensil to extract the contents.
Period: 3rd – 4th century AD

Object Condition

Very fine, intact with some craquelure in the iridescence and minor encrustations.
