Object Description
A fine restrung Ancient Roman green glass beaded necklace. The body of the necklace is comprised of small beads featuring spherical, tubular, and ellipsoid shapes in a variety of green hues and textures creating a mosaic-like impression. The bead size gradually increases as they reach the centrepiece which consists of six slightly larger beads. The first three are of a spherical shape, followed by a domed bead and a finely carved ribbed bead which features four protruding edges, the final bead is a darker green translucent torus shape. The piece is finished with a modern gold-plated clasp (please be aware that the clasp has not been professionally tied).
