Object Description
Ancient Roman pentagonal gold ring. A conforming pentagonal ring featuring five conjoined pointed oval panels with polished edges, approximately 8mm in width. Tested yellow gold, circa 43-410 AD.
This ring has an attractive patina, commensurate with its age.
Accompanied by documentation from the Portable Antiquities Scheme stating that this ring was found whilst metal detecting cultivated land in West Meon, Hampshire, UK in 2019. It is recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme under reference HAMP-7A411B; and disclaimed under the Treasure Act 1996, reference 2019T1192.
