This is a very elegant fine quality vintage Meshwani Afghan runner rug, Late 19th century in date.
Artisan hand-crafted using traditional skills with minimal wear or fading, the runner features a woven red ground with blue and white accents in the oorm of sixteen octagons medallions to the centre with blue sawtooth decor to the sides and red and blue kilim ends finished with short tassel bands.
