A charming original Edwardian negligee diamond pendant, regarded as such because negligee or in French deshabille alluded to the sheer gown worn by ladies during this era. A negligee pendant usually consists of two unequal drops which gives this antique pendant its distinctive appearance.
This antique diamond pendant is designed as a diamond set bow motif set with rose cut diamonds set in 18ct gold with two knife edge bars each rubbed-over set with two est. 0.2ct and 0.35ct diamonds respectively. Linked to the pendant motif is a fine 18ct gold trace chain, the whole negligee being 51cm/ 20” long. A pretty example of Edwardian jewelry that evokes the delicacy of this elegant age.
This antique pendant is in overall very good condition and displays minor general wear which is consistent with a pendant of this age.
DETAILS
18ct white gold front and yellow gold back set negligee set with rose cut diamonds to the bow motif with an estimated weight of two 0.02ct diamonds & two 0.35ct rose cut diamonds set in the bar sections. The total diamond weight is estimated at 0.72ct. The pendant section measures 35mm/1 ¼” with an 18” chain.
The overall total measurement of the pendant and chain is 20”.

HALLMARK – Unhallmarked, stamped 18k on the fastner.
