Antique Chinese bone and copper mounted box
Chinese, 19th Century
Height 13cm, width 26cm, depth 14.5cm
This fine Chinese box is crafted from wood and contains two internal partitions. The exterior of the box is mounted all over with plaques carved from bone, adorned with pierced floral forms, the execution of which is exceptionally intricate. The escutcheon, twin handles, and key are crafted from copper.
