Object Description

An excellent quality antique silver snuff box with engine turned decoration and gilt finish. The top has an interesting abstract design in bright yellow enamel. Original gilt interior. Weight 99 grams, 3.1 troy ounces. Top 8 x 5 cms. Marked around the rim of the base with German silver marks 935, crown and moon and the makers mark within a circle. Circa 1920.

935 refers to the purity of silver and is a grade higher than sterling silver which is 925 parts out of 1,000

Object Condition

This pretty silver box is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. The enamel top is undamaged. The rim of the base has a set of German silver stamps, the top is unmarked.
