Antique diamond necklace/tiara. Set with eighty three cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back cutdown settings with a combined weight of 12.00 carats, further adorned with two hundred and ten round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 4.00 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 16.00 carats, to an impressive articulated necklace, flowing with movement, featuring twenty five graduating stylised foliate pendant drops with scrollwork detail, with fancy open backholing, the detachable chain fitted to both sides with a secure concealed push pin clasp, necklace approximately 16″ in length, converting to an elegant openwork tiara with silver tiara frame, approximately 3.3cm in height at highest point. Tested 18 carat yellow gold and tested silver, French, circa 1890, accompanied by a fitted box and personal documentation in French.
