Object Description
A beautiful mahogany dumb waiter from the late 18th century in the English Style, decorated with finely executed and exquisite Dutch marquetry.
The top tier is decorated with ‘parrot’ tulips and a band of flowers, the second tier has urns with tulips and foliage and the bottom tier has birds on a branch. Both the lower tiers swivel around the centre column. It has three cabriole legs terminating in pad feet, also decorated with marquetry and steel and leather castors for ease of movement.
This beautiful quality antique dumb waiter has been cleaned and polished to enhance the colour of the woods and is in excellent condition showing no sign of damage or repairs.
The whole dumb waiter can be dismantled by removing the turned wooden screws to the centre columns. It would make an eye-catching centrepiece to a sitting room or dining room.
