This is a pretty antique Edwardian inlaid mahogany mantel clock, circa 1890 in date.
It has a scalopped pediment and is decorated with chequerband stringing and line inlaid in boxwood with foliate marquetry.The white enamel dial with arabic chapter ring bears the name of the retailer J Hardy of Aberdeen and has beautiful pierced filegree hands. The eight day French spring driven movement is in excellent working order and is complete with the original key.
The back bears a label of the maker, Dance & Duerden of Morley.
