This is an exquisite high-quality and rare antique English Old Sheffield silver plated on copper domed entree dish with lid and stand, circa 1815 in date.
This stunning shaped oblong entree dish features impressive chased loop handles with splendid floral and foliate decoration and a matching detachable lid with elegant engine turn decoration, which infuses extra light and sumptuousness to the whole composition.
It is engraved on each side with a coat-of-arms and a motto ‘Fortiter Occupa Portum’ (‘Defend your harbours bravely’) and bears the Crown mark.
It stands on four distinguished scroll and foliage cast feet, is of the highest quality and ready to grace your dining table.
