A magnificent pair of early English silver lidded flagons with a tall vertical sided body on a spreading base. Britannia standard silver*. Good plain design. Uninscribed. The graceful curved handles have a large cast and scrolled thumb piece. Weight 1166 grams, 37.4 troy ounces and 1185 grams, 38.1 troy ounces. Height 26.5 cms (to top of thumb piece).
