A stunning quality mid 18th century plain formed sterling silver baluster tankard and cover decorated with an elegant strap work band to the lower body and a central bright cut hand engraved ‘shielded’ cartouche in which sits a stylish contemporary crest. The hinged lid is elegantly domed and has a beautiful cast wire work thumbpiece.
