Object Description
An Antique George V Sterling silver tea set which consists of a kettle on stand, a coffee/ water pot, a teapot, a cream jug and a sugar basin. This set sits comfortably on an oval shaped tray which has a plain body with inset handles and a pierced gallery around the edges. Each item from the silver set is oval shape in design with a mainly plain body with a pierced gallery around the top and resting on four decorative legs. The kettle, which has the same pierced gallery, rests on a silver stand with a silver burner and is secured by two silver pins. This set is complete and eye catching. The tea set is dated for Birmingham 1914 by Williams Ltd and the tray is dated for Sheffield 1912 by Deakin and Deakin. The height of the kettle on stand is 35.00 cms and the length of the tray is 62.00 cms. The total weight is 202.30 Troy ounces ( 6261.00 grams ).
