This is an absolutely superb top quality antique Georgian sterling silver three piece teaset comprising of a teapot, sugar bowl and jug.
The teapot measures 10 3/4″ (27 cms) across including the handle x 8″ (20 cms) x 6 1/4″ (16 cms) tall to the top of the lid and weighs 940.7 grams, the jug is 7″ (18 cms) across from handle to tip of spout x 3″ (7.5 cms) tall to the top of the spout and weighs 271.4 grams and the sugar bowl is 8 1/2″ (22 cms) across including the handles x 3 1/2″ (9 cms) high to the rim and weighs 445 grams.
All three items are in excellent condition inside and out with no damage and they weigh a total of 1657.1 grams which gives you an idea of the quality .
They have matching hallmarks for London 1827 with the silversmiths marks for William Bateman ll who was known for top quality silver.
They have gorgeous decoration with no inscriptions or monograms and the teapot has a lovely acorn sitting on oak leaves finial.
The insides of all the items are nice and clean – the jug and bowl retain the original gilding and the set is perfectly usable today.
