This is a superb antique Georgian sterling silver wine funnel measuring 5″ (13 cms) tall x 3 1/4″ (8 cms) across the cup.
It has beautiful floral embossed work around the body and a cartouche engraved with a stag crest.
It also has the inner ring which was once used to hold a small piece of muslin over the pierced section as an extra filter on the wine.
It’s in super original condition, it’s hallmarked for London 1830 with the silversmiths mark for Robert Hennell II and it weighs 116.6 grams/3.7 troy oz.
