Antique Gold and Agate Snuff Box

Object Description

A handsome antique gold and agate snuff box with red jasper stone panels inserted into a solid gold mount. Height 8cm cm. Top 5.7cm x 2.5cm. Stamped on the edge with continental gold mark. Probably French, circa 1780.

Object Condition

This attractive gold box is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. Good crisp finish. The hinge is in good condition. The stone is opaque. There is a slight flaw inside the lid (see photo).
