Object History

This traditional design has been handwoven with hand-spun wool and cotton, all of which have been dyed using traditional vegetable dying techniques. Handwoven in Persia circa 1910.

Geometric Medallions and designs are unique to the province in which they where woven. In this design, the design reveals large diamond motifs with a decorative motif border traditional to Kurdish design.
