Object Description
This 18th century writing table has Masonic associations.
The top left hand drawer is stamped with a symbol of a compass and set square.
The one piece top has a moulded edge and is a deep darkish mahogany colour.
Below this are 2 oak lined drawers with cockbeaded edges, original locks, handles, and escutcheons.
The table stands on 4 square section legs which are chamfered to the reverse edge.
They are fitted the original enamelled metal castors with leather rollers.
This classic 18th century table is well proportioned and has a dark mahogany finish to the solid timbers.
