Object Description
Antique Mahogany Partners Library Table or Writers Desk
This good quality antique Victorian library table or writing desk is constructed from well-figured mahogany timbers.
It has a new black leather writing surface with gilt and blind tooling which is surrounded
by a band of Mahogany with a ‘bull nose’ molded edge and rounded corners.
Each side of the width is fitted with three mahogany lined drawers with hand cut dovetails and brass locks and turned wooden knobs.
The table stands on four well-turned and reeded legs terminating in brass and ceramic cup castors.
This is a well-proportioned partners library table or writing desk which had recently benefited from professional cleaning and waxing.
Such large-sized library/writing tables are becoming increasingly rare as they make very good
large antique desks, conference tables or library tables in an office, home study or library.
