Object Description
Antique natural pearl and diamond earrings. A matching pair, each set with a cushion shape natural saltwater pearl, approximately 8.50-9.01 x 6.45mm and 8.29-9.32 x 7.64mm, further set with a cluster of round old cut diamonds, twenty eight in total, in open back rubover and grain settings, with a combined approximate weight of 1.10 carats, to an ornate scrolling openwork drop shape cluster with millegrain detail throughout, a finely pierced gallery and intricate backholing, suspended from a double diamond drop, articulated and flowing with movement and fitted to reverse with a secure shepherd’s hook, approximately 3.5cm in length. Tested yellow gold and platinum settings, English, circa 1905, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5776-3470.
