Object Description
Antique centre table / library table of octagonal form. This table has drawers on four sides which are set into an elegantly thin frieze which allows for plenty of leg room. The oak is top quality with medullary rays in the solid timber and burr oak with crossbanding on the top. The construction is excellent with precision dovetails and thin drawer linings made from dense grained solid oak. The carving is crisp and precise and the scale, height and overall proportions make this one of the most elegant versions of its genre that we have seen for a long time.
