This is an exquisitely sophisticated and rare pair of Antique Victorian sterling silver top and clear cut crystal scent bottles, by the renowned silversmiths John Grinsell & Sons of London, 1894 in date.
Each bottle features a distinctive globular shape and a matching silver round hinged domed cover which is beautifully embossed with charming scrolls and foliate decoration. Each lid has a central vacant cartouche, which would be perfect for engraving your initials.
The body of each bottle features resplendent and intricate diamond cut glass. Each lid bears full hallmarks – Lion passant for sterling silver, leopard head for London, letter ‘T’ for 1894, makers’ marks ‘J.G. & S’ for John Grinsell & Sons, as well as the registration number 11903.
